Goal of the Photo
The Gladney Rose Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden is surrounded by a classic white garden fence which has two moon gates. The gates are adorned with blown glass installations, by glass artist Dale Chihuly, making the arches look like sunshine. I wanted to take a non-traditional photograph of one of the gates and the fence so I chose an outside perspective looking at the fence from the side.
This photo met my desired goal of taking a non-traditional photo of this garden fence and gate with blown glass installation. The perspective leads the viewers eye from the far left of the image, where the fence is closest, over to the focal point of the yellow glass installation mounted to the garden gate on the far right.
The image contains isolated colors of green grass and rose stems, white fence, reds from the roses, blue sky with white clouds, and the yellow of the "sun" glass installation.
