The Missouri Botanical Garden Blanke Boxwood Garden Gazebo shown through a circular opening in a surrounding brick wall. The image conveys a sense of timelessness and simple beauty with red brick, green boxwood garden hedges, and the smooth sloped roofline of the gazebo shown in greyish blue with white fencing and columns supporting the roof.

Goal of the Photo
On a warm fall day at the Missouri Botanical Garden, this photo was taken looking through an opening in a brick wall surrounding the Blanke Boxwood Garden. I wanted to capture a framed image of the classic gazebo structure along with the green colors of the garden and red of the brick.
The centered placement and the brick framing narrow the focus for the viewer down to the main subject of this photo, the gazebo.
The limited color palette and the circular and smooth sloping shapes gives this image a peaceful tone as if this image could be from any time period during the past or present.
